No Longer Strangers is a collection of street photography & unposed portraits of strangers that i have taken over the course of the previous two years. The project is in the final stages of being self-published as a printed photobook. Below are a few of my favorite images from the project. Captions are intentionally excluded so that the context of each image does not create isolated narratives.
The camera is an extension of myself & taking a photograph is a deeply emotional experience. It offers a language to communicate my love & appreciation toward the people & places that have impacted me in a way that words alone cannot. There is a level of vulnerability from both sides of the lens when taking a portrait, creating a unique bond when that level of trust is mutual. Because of that bond, each individual is no longer a stranger to me.
